The pair do battle with evil space pirates, and then take a precious pirate jewel to a massive star on the other side of the universe, where they have it destroyed. But their major exploit comes when they discover the existence of the pirates' hidden prison of human slaves on the outer dwarf planet of Pluto. Bobby and Sandra go to Pluto, where they free the slaves, and make friends with one of them, a young girl named Vermilion. The intelligent and precocious Vermilion narrates the story, and tells how she, along with Bobby and Sandra, begin to turn the former slave prison into a thriving city. This is the first of several stories about these amazing people, and the reader can look forward to more fantastic adventures.
This story is the sequel to the thrilling tale of 'Star-City of Pluto', in which the wonderful trio of Bobby, Sandra and Vermilion travelled all over the universe, and began the establishment of their space metropolis. Now they are having even more unbelievable adventures and escapades, as they go to the ancient Earth as it was in 50,000 BCE. What they hope will be a quick fun trip to get some plants for a space garden turns out to be a totally seismic and dangerous and tempestuous series of experiences, which they only escape from through the most amazing strokes of luck.
